Crime Victim Services Advisory Board

The Crime Victim Services Advisory Board (Board) is a 26 member board appointed by the
 Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Safety. 

The Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Department and the Division of Criminal Justice in making grant funding recommendations.

The Board has two statutory subcommittees.

  • The Victim Rights Act Subcommittee which reviews any reports of noncompliance with the Victim Rights Act 
  • The Standards Subcommittee which makes recommendations to the full Board regarding revisions to, and compliance with, the Victim Compensation and Local Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (Local VALE) Standards.
